Community Guidelines

1. Use The Search Features

Chances are, if you have a question, someone else has the same question. More importantly, the answer is probably somewhere out there already if you just take a minute to look. Before posting a new question, always do a search first. Your question might have already been posted and answered on this site. By trying out this method before asking a question, you'll save hours of time that could have been wasted constantly answering the same questions multiple times. If you did not find what you were looking for then feel free to post a "New Topic" in the forum.

2. Inappropriate Content

Gamers of all ages are welcome to view these forums. As such, any posts containing; profanity, obscenity, insults, personal attacks, accusations or abusive language will be edited or deleted and will result in a warning or, in severe or persistent cases, a ban from the forum.

There is no profanity filter on this site. Mild profanity is OK but please keep it to a minimum. We encourage free exchange of ideas, but we also expect the exchange to be civil.

Racial, religious or sexual slurs will result in immediate banning. Discussion of software piracy is not allowed. “Piracy” includes links to illegal downloads of games or methods by which to circumvent copy protection mechanisms.

3. No Flaming

This includes any kind of personal insult, flame or intimidation. Responding in kind to a flame message is viewed as equally unacceptable, regardless of who started it. If you believe you are being insulted or otherwise flamed by another poster, please flag the post for community staff to handle rather than responding. This applies to both written text and image posting.

4. No Trolling

Creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums
Causing disturbances in forum threads, such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters
Making posts designed to or likely to get inappropriate responses.

“Naming and shaming” suspected cheaters is also considered trolling given that it is rarely possible to prove guilt and only causes arguments. If you believe you have a strong case against a suspected cheater please contact the respective GiT server owner, report it to the Frontwire Support team.

Final decisions on what is trolling will be at the discretion of forum staff.

5. No Spamming

Do not flood the forum posting the same question in multiple forums, or multiple ways. All that happens is it gets confusing. It's a lot easier for everyone to get the answers they need if everything is kept in one place. If you think of something else you want to add to the thread, please use the Edit button rather than making multiple posts in a row as this may also be seen as spamming, whether intentional or not.

6. No Bumping

Making short posts made with the sole intention of keeping posts near the top of the forum is called “bumping”. This raises forum traffic and clutter unnecessarily and moves more active threads down the page. As such it is not allowed and may result in the thread being lost and persistent offenders may have their posting privileges removed.

7. Personal Information

We strongly recommend you do not arrange to meet anyone from these forums. Always consult a parent or guardian if appropriate or speak to a Community Staff member. You should also not give out personal contact details, including real name, phone number, email or home address. The internet offers numerous social sites that provide blogging, file sharing and message services and are safer than handing out personal contact information. You may wish to investigate these options if you find the forum does not meet your needs for setting up clan meetings, etc.

8. External Content

Anything linked to from these forums must follow by the same rules as any content directly posted here. This includes signature images, links and images.

9. Image Posting

All Images posted within these forums are subject to the Forum Rules including and in addition to the following:

Incite or promote hate groups, or groups designed to troll, flame across the forums.

10. One Account Per-Person

Creating more than one account is not allowed on these forums. Second or further accounts will be removed. Doing so to get around a temporary ban will also result in a permanent one. The only exception is if you wish to start a new account to change usernames (and therefore stop using your old one), however please open a support ticket before doing so. Character accounts (i.e. creating a duplicate pretending to be a fictional or real person), or accounts impersonating a Frontwire Studios representative will earn an immediate ban.

11. No Advertising

No advertising will be allowed by third-parties. Advertising other video games, communities, products, etc. will result in a permenant ban.

12. Moderator/Staff Actions

Flaming moderators or their actions (this includes telling them how to moderate) is no more acceptable than insulting a regular user. We ask that moderators receive the same civil treatment as other forum members as they put in a lot of time and effort into these forums. If you need to contact a moderator or community team member, please open a support ticket.
